WhatsApp has been testing chat history sharing between Android and iOS since last time. As a result, the full functionality of this feature has been officially unveiled by the company. Until now, this exchange was done with the help of third-party data transferring tools and only the chat history was transferred through them. However, some money has to be paid for these third-party tools and they are not very easy to use.

At this time, this transfer method only works from Android to iPhone, and to do this, it is necessary to use the Move to iOS app on Android. And to do this, it is mandatory that both Android and the iOS devices receiving it should have the latest version of WhatsApp and the same phone number of the old phone should be used in the phone being exchanged. As the next step, the iPhone used for the exchange should also be used after a factory reset or should be a new device.

Based on the steps outlined in the instructions above, WhatsApp has worked with Apple to piggyback its Move to iOS App to successfully transfer WhatsApp chat history to an iOS phone. They have further stated that account information, profile photo, individual/group chats, chat history, chat media and WhatsApp settings are all exchanged in this process. Here WhatsApp call history and peer-to-peer payment messages cannot be transferred.

Not being able to get WhatsApp Chats while switching between iOS and Android is a major problem experienced by users. Most existing messaging apps allow you to access messages and chats through any device, whether Android or iOS, but WhatsApp can only be used with a single phone number and a single Smartphone. However, as recently introduced by WhatsApp, when the main mobile device is not available, the ability to log into WhatsApp through linked devices is a good opportunity to some extent.
