As you may remember last year, Dialog Axiata officially started expanding its fiber network in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, they introduced fiber connections with 100Mbps internet speed to some limited areas. Dialog, which is already expanding its fiber network to other areas throughout Sri Lanka, has received the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Accordingly, the International Finance Corporation has obtained a loan of 150 million dollars to increase its network capacity and build new 4G towers. Dialog Axiata expects to use this loan amount to expand its fiber network.

About 50% of the Broadband market has been acquired so far and it can be hoped that this loan will enable them to further increase this capacity.
